My art speaks with my most authentic voice and helps illuminate a path for that voice to shine.  Through painting, I explore the Zen of letting attachments go (like the serendipitous way those colors blend together or contrast so perfectly, that now call to be painted over… ah!) I release fear of mistakes and experiment with letting the person inside (the true artistic genius within me ;) be the lead and make all the executive decisions.  

The paintings I create blur the line between reality and the abstract. My brush translates my perspective of the world into a unique emulsion of bold colors, subtle symbolism, rich patterns and texture, along with the delicate details of nature’s own archetypal images. My ambiguous and eclectic style is continually shifting and evolving to reflect the experiences and flavors of my life. When ideas and images pass through my imagination to my canvas, my thoughts are clear and focused, and my motivation is boundless… it is in that moment when I feel most alive. It is when "art" happens.

What motivates me most while painting is the connection of the mind to the movement of the hand to the brush to the surface… and what happens next is unpredictable.
